Shake out your microfiber towels when you remove them from the washer before hanging to air dry. This helps to loosen damp fibers and reduce matting or tangling. Following these wash and dry instructions will keep your towels soft and fluffy for a long time. A little care goes a long way!
FAQs
-
Why do the fibers on my microfiber towel appear clumped up?
You might have used a fabric softener, which contains surfactants that could cause the fibers to clump. Exposure to high heat could also melt the fibers, causing them to stick together. Unfortunately, this damage is irreversible. -
I did none of the above but it still clumps up after wash. Why is that so?
The fibers absorb water in the wash, and with vigorous spinning in the washer, it is normal for the soft and thin fibers to adhere together due to the cohesive property of water. To keep your microfiber towels soft and fluffy, shake them out after every wash before hanging to dry. If your towel dries with clumps, it's fine as this doesn't affect absorbency. To restore softness, simply shake out the towel a few times.
