&NE Recopo Made in Japan Microwave Food Cooking Steamer

One pau doesn’t need a whole stovetop steamer. The Recopo Cooking Steamer makes it easy to prepare a small portion of food in the microwave. Add hot water to the lower tray, fit the steaming basket, place your food inside and cover with the lid. It’s a compact way to enjoy a fluffy pau, steamed vegetables, shumai, sweet potato or fish without bringing out a bulky pot.

The lid has an adjustable steam vent: align its tab with the notch to let more steam escape for a slightly firmer finish, or offset them for a standard steamed finish. Once cooking is done, empty the hot water from the lower tray and bring the basket to the table on its tray.

How to use: Add about 100 ml of hot water to the lower tray, fit the basket, arrange food in a single layer and microwave with the lid on. Start with a shorter heating time and adjust according to your microwave and ingredients. The guide timings shown in the images are for 500W with 100°C water in the tray.

Please note: Use manual microwave heating only. Do not use at 800W or higher. Do not use over a direct flame or in an oven, grill or toaster. The container and steam will be hot after heating; handle with care.
